Jim Lavan

Jim Lavan is a 15 year NYC teacher. As a converted Math teacher, Jim has worked at Tottenville HS to help create the STEAM Academy. He has been the leader in creating a new multi year sequence and writing curriculum for 2 brand new courses in Video Game Design and Physical Computing (intro engineering course). Additionally Jim is a certified Master Teacher for AP Computer Science Principles using the Beauty and Joy of Computing curriculum.
